Background
In this subject we got to choose between 10 different tasks to take in as our owl project. The vast array of tasks had different senses connected up to them.
We chose a task that included well being of the students in the main classroom of our. The senses included was noise from people entering the classroom from one of the side doors to enter the "workshop" side of the room and disruption of the tutoring, that was ongoing in the "classroom" side.
We combined this task with another task that involves a solution for keeping that are placed around the institute, alive. We would then try to merge this with the other "workshop" task and make a single solution for this.
Soultion
The solution we came up with was making a multi-purpose wall with materials that were sustainable, rigid and soundproofing. It was also important that you could make it so you could hang whatever you wanted on the wall, with the help of 3D-printed "clips" that were made with recycled filament.
The solution for the wall made it possible to walk in and out of the workshop without disturbing tuition, and in the same time gave the tutors and lecturers for example somewhere to have a whiteboard to use in the lectures. That makes the work peace better and increase the quality of the learning material.
The plant-app we intended to make, only made it to the lo-fi sketching phase in Figma. Since this part of the project was cut short, we agreed to make this a starting point for a new cohort or group who wants to take this in as their own, and finish this project.
